The Trustees of Reservations, established in 1891, is Massachusetts' premier conservation and preservation organization. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- physical ability to perform demanding farm work
- reliable transportation to the Powisset Farm site
- willingness to work full-time from April to October
- ability to adhere to The Trustees' policies and safety guidelines
- flexibility to work various farm tasks as assigned
Job Qualifications
- some farm experience preferred but not necessary
- ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- ability to lift 40 pounds
- current authorization to work in the United States
- valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- ability to pass a satisfactory criminal background check
Job Duties
- perform general farm work such as planting, seeding, weeding, hoeing, harvesting, post-harvest vegetable handling, and fall farm cleanup
- perform tractor work including safe operation and maintenance of tractors and implements
- work independently and as part of a small farm crew
- support the community supported agriculture (CSA) operations
- contribute to seasonal farm activities and maintenance
- assist with the preparation and handling of farm produce
