  • experience in the literary arts or nonprofit sector preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage all aspects of event production from conception to completion
  • work closely with the Program Director to envision and curate Lit Fest programming
  • collaborate with the Education Director on planning and executing weekend genre festivals
  • manage large public-facing events including panels, workshops, signings, and readings
  • collaborate with marketing to develop an annual events plan and marketing materials
  • ensure timely upload of event offerings to the website
  • create and maintain comprehensive event plans, timelines, and schedules
  • coordinate event sponsorships and partnerships
  • manage logistics for events including setup, staffing, AV needs, vendors, and breakdown
  • oversee creation and distribution of schedules and run-of-show documents
  • manage contracts with agencies, authors, faculty, and vendors
  • oversee on-site event logistics and serve as primary point of contact
  • recommend process improvements for efficiency
  • review event evaluations and implement improvements
  • coach and mentor the Program Coordinator
  • manage workflows and assignments for supporting staff
  • develop and manage annual event budgets
  • track expenses and reconcile credit card transactions
  • compile programming guides and institutional records
  • report attendance figures for funding agencies
  • occasionally support other programming and events
