Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Arrange guest seating assignments to servers
  • Welcome and greet guests within 20 seconds with a polite smile and eye contact
  • Inform guests of specials and menu changes
  • Answer questions about food, beverages, and restaurant services
  • Provide special seating accommodations such as high chairs
  • Seat guests evenly to avoid server overload
  • Provide menus and remove unnecessary place settings
  • Communicate with servers about new seated tables
  • Monitor and update table occupancy
  • Check daily schedule for special events and parties
  • Keep menus clean and organized
  • Ensure tables are cleaned and updated after guests leave
  • Replenish workstation supplies
  • Communicate with relief personnel about table status and waiting guests
  • Assist servers proactively
  • Thank guests and invite them to return
  • Attend employee meetings and suggest improvements
  • Notify management of any guest dissatisfaction
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
