Lloyd Scholars for Writing and the Arts (LSWA) is a vibrant living-learning community within the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA) at the University of Michigan. As one of seven Michigan Learning Communities (MLCs) on campus, LSWA provides a supportive and creative environment for first- and second-year undergraduate students from across all UM colleges. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an arts-related field from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of two years of student arts programming experience or equivalent
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as scheduled
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility, excellence, and passion required
- Commitment to inclusion, collaboration, and cultural sensitivity
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage large volumes of work including complex projects
- Demonstrated experience in producing effective marketing campaigns across multiple platforms
- Experience working with and managing students and student programming at the university level
- Experience partnering with faculty, students, and internal and external stakeholders including local business and nonprofit leaders and government officials
- Experience with large-scale event planning
- Proven success with networking and fundraising initiatives
- Fluent in Microsoft applications and Google Suites
- Working knowledge of Adobe products and graphic design software
- Ability to work in environments that require flexibility and adaptability
- Experience managing volunteer databases and outreach tools
- Ability to transport and move materials up to 50 pounds
- Ability for occasional day travel in the greater Ann Arbor area

Job Duties
- Work closely with the FestiFools/FoolMoon Creative Director to develop and implement events including production, marketing, communications, sales, and day-of support
- Establish and direct programming to support the character and ethos of FestiFools and FoolMoon
- Act as liaison with LSWA Budget Manager and Business Administrator to manage finances including expenses, revenues, sponsorships, and donations
- Adhere to University of Michigan policies and procedures regarding finances, fundraising, production, and publicity
- Oversee merchandise sales in accordance with university guidelines
- Manage all aspects of on-street production ensuring safety and coordination of volunteers, vendors, and contractors
- Coordinate with city officials for permits, street closures, and regulatory compliance
- Implement on-street setup including barriers, signage, decorations, emergency management, and cleanup
- Manage talent acquisition by researching and hiring artists and performers
- Assist students and volunteers in kinetic sculpture and luminary-making processes, overseeing studio hours
- Co-manage student employee projects including assistants and interns
- Manage and produce social media content, promotional materials, and marketing campaigns
- Lead the production of event products such as luminary kits and souvenir merchandise
- Serve as project lead for the FestiFools 20th Anniversary book project including community crowdsourcing and publishing
- Develop and maintain budgets, sourcing, purchasing, and financial planning
- Collaborate with development staff on fundraising initiatives including donor and sponsor relations
- Conduct grant research and write applications
- Manage community volunteer database and outreach
- Identify and maintain local community, business, and university partnerships
- Coordinate staffing and facilitation of community workshops and studio work days
- Engage in volunteer recruitment through outreach with local schools, groups, and nonprofits
