Job Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Maintain a clean driving record
- Have at least one year of commercial driving experience within the last three years
- Pass a drug test including marijuana
- Pass a DOT physical examination
- Be able to safely lift and carry up to 75 lbs and up to 150 lbs with hand truck
- Pass FedEx Ground criminal background check
- Have reliable transportation to and from work
- Be punctual and ready to work each day
- Be able to climb stairs
- Be able to work in all types of weather
- Exhibit a strong work ethic and get-it-done attitude
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of one year commercial driving experience within the last three years
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs and up to 150 lbs with hand truck
- Ability to climb stairs and work in all weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Experience with local delivery or route driving preferred
- Familiarity with delivery equipment and customer service skills
Job Duties
- Operate vehicle safely at all times
- Deliver and pick up packages to businesses and residences
- Perform daily vehicle inspections including fluid level checks
- Load vehicle for deliveries and organize daily loads
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain communication with manager
- Accurately operate scanner and track delivery process
- Ensure accurate disposition of package delivery and pickups
- Consistently deliver entire route in a timely manner
