Job Requirements
- be at least 21 years of age
- hold a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record
- pass a drug test including marijuana and continue to pass random drug screening
- pass a DOT physical examination
- lift and carry packages up to 75 lbs and up to 150 lbs with a hand truck
- pass FedEx Ground criminal background check
- have reliable transportation to and from work and be punctual
- be able to climb stairs
- be able to work in all types of weather
- possess a strong work ethic and get it done attitude
- be available to work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday)
Job Qualifications
- valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- reliable work-related driving experience
- ability to lift and carry packages up to 75 lbs and up to 150 lbs with hand truck
- strong work ethic and good communication skills
- ability to work in various weather conditions
- previous experience in local or route driving is a plus
- customer service skills
- ability to operate scanning equipment accurately
Job Duties
- operate delivery vehicle safely at all times
- deliver and pick up packages to businesses and residences
- perform daily vehicle inspections including checking fluid levels
- load vehicle for deliveries and organize daily loads
- work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- provide exceptional customer service and maintain communication with management
- accurately operate scanner and track delivery process
- ensure accurate disposition of package deliveries and pickups
- consistently complete entire delivery route in a timely manner
