Job Requirements

  • Completed FAFSA on file demonstrating financial need
  • high school diploma or G.E.D.
  • must maintain enrollment in eligible courses
  • maintain an aid-eligible Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status
  • cumulative GPA of 2.0 or greater
  • dependable and responsible
  • organized and able to work independently
  • good oral communication skills
  • ability to work well with diverse populations
  • proficiency in MS Office Suites
  • knowledge of basic office equipment
  • ability to maintain confidentiality as per FERPA and HIPAA regulations

Job Qualifications

  • experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role
  • strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • proficiency in MS Office Suites including Word, Excel, Outlook
  • knowledge of basic office equipment such as printers and multi-line phone systems
  • ability to communicate well orally and work effectively with diverse student populations
  • must maintain enrollment in eligible courses
  • maintain an aid-eligible Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status
  • have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or greater
  • demonstrate a professional appearance and demeanor
  • dependable, responsible and organized
  • cooperative with supervisors and colleagues
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to maintain confidentiality and follow FERPA and HIPAA regulations

Job Duties

  • Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate person or department
  • answer and manage incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner on a multi-line system
  • return main line phone messages and complete reminder calls
  • maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area and front lobby
  • manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
  • provide administrative support to staff as needed
  • ensure security and confidentiality of visitor information
  • assist with organizing events and special projects as needed
  • participate in quality improvement and cultural competency programs as requested
  • perform other duties as assigned
