- Ability to follow directions, read, and communicate in English
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, teachers, school administrators and food and nutrition service personnel

- A standard high school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid Florida driver’s license preferred
- Bilingual skills preferred
Job Duties
- Follow daily work schedules for food production, service, and cleaning
- Participate in on-going state-approved training and educational initiatives relating to Food and Nutrition Services
- Demonstrate and promote exceptional customer service using good judgment and professionalism
- Operate point-of-sale systems according to federal guidelines when assigned
- Adhere to food safety rules, departmental procedures, and HACCP ensuring a safe work environment
- Perform kitchen duties including pre-preparation, food production, service, backup, clean-up, and check-in orders
- Assist in ensuring meal service is safe and meets approved meal pattern requirements
- Assist with ordering, proper storage and inventories of supplies and food items
- Follow written recipes and instructions for food preparation and complete production worksheets
- Operate food service equipment safely
- Maintain a clean work environment by disposing of garbage and waste properly
- Ensure sanitation practices and comply with personal hygiene and grooming standards
- Perform necessary cleaning of food service equipment and facilities
- Drive vans for food delivery, gas, and cleaning as directed
- Drive refrigerated/freezer trucks between sites
- Perform and promote compliance with equal employment and non-discrimination policies
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and proficiency
- Review current developments and technical information related to job responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to safety rules and procedures
- Follow federal and state laws and School Board policies
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or designee
