Job Requirements
- prior food service or cashier work experience
- ability to follow directions, read, and communicate in English
- ability to effectively communicate with students, teachers, school administrators, and other related personnel
- computer skills as required
- willingness to follow food safety rules and hygiene standards
- ability to perform medium physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 30 pounds regularly
- valid Florida driver's license (preferred)
- high school diploma or GED (preferred)
- bilingual skills (preferred)

Job Duties
- follow daily work schedules for food production, service, and cleaning
- participate in ongoing state-approved training and educational initiatives
- demonstrate and promote exceptional customer service
- operate point-of-sale systems according to federal guidelines
- adhere to food safety rules, departmental procedures, and HACCP standards
- perform kitchen duties including pre-preparation, food production, service, backup, clean-up, and check-in orders
- assist in ensuring safe meal service and quality food according to approved meal pattern requirements
- assist with ordering, proper storage, and inventories of supplies and food items
- follow written recipes and document food preparation details
- operate food service equipment safely
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation practices
- perform necessary cleaning of equipment and facilities
- drive vans and refrigerated trucks for food delivery and maintenance
- ensure compliance with equal employment and non-discrimination policies
- participate in training programs
- review current developments related to job responsibilities
- ensure adherence to safety rules and procedures
- follow federal and state laws and school board policies
- perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
