Job Requirements
- Ability to work night and weekend shifts
- Must be physically able to perform medium work including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Must have vision capabilities including depth perception and color vision
- Physical ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach, stand, walk, pull, lift, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions
- Willingness to adhere to company policies and personal hygiene standards
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with exposure to temperature extremes and cleaning chemicals
Job Qualifications
- No education or experience required
- Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
- Ability to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages
- Ability to file, post, mail materials and interview to obtain basic information
- Ability to guide people and provide basic direction
Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
- Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner
- Assist customers by escorting, securing products, loading items, and noting suggestions
- Answer telephone promptly and provide helpful service
- Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction
- Operate cash register accurately, scan products, and manage transactions including coupon redemption
- Place merchandise in bags or boxes and give packages to customers
- Assist with inventory of the department
- Receive and check in delivered merchandise and stock shelves
- Maintain proper lot condition by shoveling snow, spreading ice melt, and hosing down
- Fill outside towel holders and replenish window washer fluid
- Remove trash inside and outside in a timely manner
- Check in product, put product away, and review invoices
- Practice proper sanitation and maintain cleanliness of registers, restrooms, break room, backroom, and floors
- Adhere to personal hygiene and dress guidelines
- Follow company policies and store guidelines
- Report to work on time when scheduled
- Order merchandise and supplies
- Price products for customers
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required
