Job Requirements
- Must be able to perform medium work involving lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach, pull, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions
- Visual acuity including depth perception and color vision
- Ability to work night and weekend shifts
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Reliable transportation to work
- Must adhere to company dress and hygiene policies
Job Qualifications
- No formal education requirements
- Previous customer service experience is a plus
- Basic arithmetic skills including fractions, decimals, and percentages
- Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
- Ability to file, post, copy data, and provide basic direction
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with operating cash registers and handling transactions
Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
- Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner
- Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing out of reach items, loading/unloading heavy items, noting customer suggestions
- Answer the telephone promptly and provide helpful service
- Work with co-workers to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Operate cash register accurately and scan products
- Redeem promotional coupons, food stamps, process various payment methods, count back change and issue receipts
- Place merchandise in bags or boxes and give packages to customers
- Assist with inventory and stock shelves
- Receive and check in delivered merchandise and store appropriately
- Maintain lot cleanliness including snow removal and ice treatment
- Replenish window washer fluid and fill outside towel holders
- Remove trash timely inside and outside
- Ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of registers, restrooms, break room, backroom, floors
- Maintain adherence to personal hygiene and dress guidelines
- Adhere to company policies and individual store guidelines
- Report to work on time as scheduled
