Job Requirements
- Must be able to physically perform medium work exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
- Must have vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction
- Must be able to perform required physical activities
- Must be able to work in temperature extremes and damp conditions
- Must be able to adhere to company policies and maintain professionalism
- Must report to work when scheduled and on time
- Employment contingent upon successful pre-employment drug screen

- Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
- Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages
- Ability to file, post and mail materials
- Ability to copy data from one record to another
- Ability to interview and obtain basic information
- Ability to guide people and provide basic direction
- Must be able to perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
Job Duties
- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store
- Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
- Makes an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible
- Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out of reach items, loading/unloading heavy items, passing along suggestions, and enhancing shopping experience
- Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service
- Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Operates cash register accurately and scans products
- Redeems promotional coupons, food stamps, processes cash, checks, credit cards, figures discounts, and issues receipts
- Places merchandise in bags or boxes and gives packages to customers
- Assists with inventory and stock duties
- Receives and checks in delivered merchandise
- Ensures proper maintenance of lot including shoveling snow, spreading ice melt, and hosing
- Removes trash timely inside and out
- Practices proper sanitation procedures and maintains clean work area
- Maintains adherence to personal hygiene and company dress guidelines
- Reports to work when scheduled and on time
- Orders merchandise and supplies as needed
- Prices products as necessary
- Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required
