Job Requirements

No prior experience required
Ability to work night and weekend shifts
Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly
Ability to see clearly and have depth perception and color vision with or without correction
Physical ability to perform activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen

Customer service skills
Ability to operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately
Basic arithmetic skills involving fractions, decimals, and percentages
Ability to work as part of a team
Effective communication skills including phone etiquette
Attention to cleanliness and sanitation standards
Ability to follow company policies and guidelines
Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting and stocking shelves

Job Duties

Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading heavy items, noting customer suggestions
Answers the telephone promptly and provides helpful service
Works with co-workers to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
Operates cash register accurately, scans product, redeems coupons and processes payments
Places merchandise in bags or boxes and gives packages to customers
Assists with inventory and checks in delivered merchandise
Ensures proper maintenance of lot, shovels snow, spreads ice melt, replenishes window washer fluid
Removes trash inside and outside
Practices proper sanitation and maintains cleanliness of registers, restrooms, break room
Adheres to company policies and dress guidelines
Reports to work on time when scheduled
Orders merchandise and supplies as needed
Prices products for customers
Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required
