Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior janitorial or housekeeping experience preferred
- ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
- ability to stand, walk, climb, and balance frequently
- good vision including close and distance vision
- ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English
- ability to effectively communicate verbally
- willingness to work in environments with loud noise and exposure to fumes
- basic math skills
- ability to work flexible hours as needed
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience in janitorial housekeeping preferred
- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- ability to write simple correspondence
- effective communication skills in English
- ability to add and subtract two digit numbers
- ability to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- ability to perform operations using American money and weight measurements
- ability to apply common sense to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
- ability to handle standardized situations with occasional variables
- basic computer skills desired but not required
- no certifications needed
Job Duties
- Assist facility manager with scheduling
- assist with administrative duties
- clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas
- clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
- lift chairs and place them over tables
- move chemicals and tables
- operate equipment such as burnishers, scrubbers, pressure washers
- use ManLift or ScissorLift machines
- wash windows, door panels, and sills
- supervise shift responsibilities
- handle employee issues
