Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One to three years of experience in restaurant or farming operation preferred
- Able to work weekends Saturdays and Sundays for approximately six hours per day
- Must be able to work in varying weather conditions including heat and cold
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 with proof or legal exemptions
- Physically able to frequently use hands to control or feel objects or tools
- Able to climb and stand on step stools and small ladders for extended periods
- Must have visual acuity for working with seeds and small items
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Preferred one to three years of experience in a restaurant or farming operation
- Preferred experience in outdoor and/or indoor farming operations
- Preferred experience in food safety and cleanliness
- Passion for sustainable farming and food production
- Ability to work independently but part of a team
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to provide good client and customer service
- Pleasant with others and cooperative attitude
- Attention to detail in following standard operating procedures and data entry
Job Duties
- Responsible for greenhouse and container cleaning using shop vacuums, pressure washers, brooms, mops, and cleaning rags
- Clean with bleach, vinegar, food-grade sanitizers, and isopropyl alcohol daily
- Support the Farm Manager, temporary or contract workers, or volunteers
- Participate in seeding and transplanting
- Harvest plants indoors and outdoors with scissors and package produce and culinary mushrooms
- Trim plants with scissors indoors and outdoors
- Harvest mushrooms with X-Acto blades/knives
