Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years experience in food and beverage operations
- safe server alcohol and food handlers certification
- ability to work in varying temperature conditions including freezers and kitchens
- physical ability to stand for extended periods and maneuver in limited spaces
- ability to lift up to 45 lbs and push or pull carts weighing up to 250 lbs
- must maintain neat, clean, and well groomed appearance
- regular attendance and punctuality
- compliance with hotel rules, safety and security policies
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- computer literacy
- willingness to work independently and as part of a team
- availability to work varying schedules and attend mandatory meetings and training
Job Qualifications
- High school or equivalent education required
- bachelors degree preferred
- 3 to 5 years experience in food and beverage operations
- safe server alcohol and food handlers certification required
- ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- good communication skills verbal, written and electronic
- intermediate computer skills including MS Office, PMS, PBX, key system, and POS
- excellent leadership capability and customer relations skills
- detail oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills
- knowledge of complex math calculations and budgetary analysis capabilities
- strong analytical and issue resolution skills
- thorough knowledge of food products, standard recipes, and preparation
- ability to conduct meetings and maintain communication between staff and managers
Job Duties
- Support and supervise the hotel food and beverage outlets while working closely with the F and B leadership team
- maintain consistent communication with vendors and suppliers for timely rollout of seasonal food options
- participate in departmental inventories and prepare and submit inventory reports to accounting in a timely manner
- monitor quality of service and product
- cooperate in menu planning and preparation
- conduct orders of food and beverage supplies
- stay up to date on brand requirements and restaurant changes
- ensure attendance at all mandatory meetings
- lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and staff satisfaction results
- maintain high energy, positive attitude, and professional appearance
- perform general cleaning tasks following hotel procedures and safety standards
- review and evaluate customer acceptance of restaurant and bar and recommend operational and marketing policy adjustments
- continuously evaluate staff performance and encourage improvement
- maintain quality and consistency in food delivery and standards
- arrange and supervise training of new staff and cross-train existing staff
- serve as a role model adhering to policies and procedures and demonstrating highest performance standards
- assist with guest inquiries
- follow company safety and security policies
- report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
- perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
