Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years experience in food and beverage operations
  • must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol
  • Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification required
  • ability to stand and exert mobility for up to four hours
  • ability to work in extreme temperatures such as freezers and kitchens
  • ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs
  • ability to perform repetitive motions and physical tasks including bending, stooping, and stretching
  • good hearing, smelling, tasting, and visual abilities
  • must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • regular attendance and punctuality required
  • adherence to company policies and safety regulations
  • willingness to work varying schedules based on hotel business needs

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years experience in food and beverage operations
  • excellent leadership skills
  • strong customer relations skills
  • detail oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills
  • intermediate computer skills including MS Office and POS systems
  • knowledge of complex mathematical calculations and budgetary analysis
  • ability to analyze and foresee user needs
  • strong issue resolution and analytical skills
  • thorough knowledge of food products, recipes, and preparation standards
  • ability to conduct meetings and maintain effective communication within teams
  • valid Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification
  • knowledge of Windows OS, PMS, PBX, key systems
  • excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
  • ability to work independently and be hands-on

Job Duties

  • Support and supervise the hotel food and beverage outlets while working closely with the rest of the F&B leadership team
  • maintain consistent communication with vendors and suppliers for timely rollout of seasonal food options
  • participate in department monthly, quarterly, annual inventories and prepare and submit inventory reports to accounting
  • monitor quality of service and product
  • cooperate in menu planning and preparation
  • conduct orders of food and beverage supplies
  • stay up to date on brand requirements and restaurant changes
  • ensure attendance at all mandatory meetings
  • lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and staff satisfaction
  • maintain high energy, positive attitude, and professional appearance
  • perform general cleaning tasks following hotel procedures and safety standards
  • review and evaluate customer acceptance of the restaurant and bar and recommend policy adjustments
  • evaluate performance and encourage improvement of food and beverage staff
  • maintain food product quality and consistency
  • arrange, provide, and supervise training of new staff
  • cross-train staff members in all positions
  • serve as a role model adhering to policies and procedures
  • assist with guest inquiries
  • follow company safety and security policies
  • report maintenance problems and safety hazards
  • perform other reasonable duties as requested
