Job Requirements

  • At least 3 years progressive experience in hotel or related field
  • Or 4-year college degree with 3 years related experience
  • Or 2-year college degree with 4 or more years related experience
  • Proficient in Windows and company software
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques
  • Knowledge of health and liquor regulations
  • Ability to work long hours
  • Medium physical work capability
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Attend required meetings and trainings
  • Participate in manager on duty coverage
  • Maintain regular attendance per company standards
  • High standards of personal grooming

Job Duties

  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and employees
  • Supervise and manage all food and beverage personnel
  • Respond to guest complaints promptly
  • Participate in food and beverage budget, forecasting and monitor department performance
  • Monitor industry trends to maintain competitive operations
  • Keep the food and beverage manager informed of issues
  • Coordinate loss prevention efforts in the food and beverage department
  • Prepare and submit required reports timely
  • Participate in inventory control and reporting
  • Organize and conduct departmental meetings regularly
  • Monitor quality of service and products
  • Assist in menu planning and preparation
  • Ensure timely purchase of food and beverage items within budget
  • Oversee employee cafeteria operations
  • Ensure compliance with liquor laws and health regulations
  • Maintain departmental SOP compliance
  • Train staff on SOPs, report preparation, and technical tasks
  • Conduct or attend hotel training sessions
  • Interview candidates and manage hiring process
  • Attend pre-convention and post-convention meetings
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
