Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous relevant experience in food and beverage or hospitality
- Possession of current Food Handler Card
- Possession of current TABC license or in progress
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs
- Must stand and walk for extended periods
- Strong customer service and leadership skills
- Knowledge of safety and security procedures
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Must maintain a neat and clean appearance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food and beverage operations or hospitality industry
- Knowledge of food outlet operations, supervisory aspects, service techniques and guest interaction
- Understanding of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
- Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic English language proficiency
- Current Food Handler Card and TABC license or willingness to obtain
- Ability to use beverage equipment such as coffee makers
- Ability to comprehend and apply written instructions
- Good memory and menu knowledge
- Physical ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs
Job Duties
- Assist Restaurant Manager/F&B Director in interviewing, selecting, training, supervising, counseling and disciplining restaurant staff for efficient operation
- Maintain outlet scheduling and payroll
- Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings communicating pertinent information
- Meet and greet guests, escort to tables, and present menus
- Answer telephones, coordinate and document reservations
- Maintain communication with all departments and attend relevant meetings
- Participate in marketing efforts, assist in menu creation, survey competition and report food trends
- Monitor product quality and guest satisfaction ensuring food quality is consistent and appealing
- Maintain profitability by controlling payroll and equipment costs
- Calculate inventory, order and stock supplies
- Ensure maintenance of equipment
- Support Food and Beverage operation including supervising other areas, handling special projects, running promotions, handling public relations and marketing
- Provide clean and safe environment by assigning and assisting with cleaning
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Follow safety and security procedures and rules
- Know fire prevention and emergency procedures
- Utilize protective equipment
- Report unsafe conditions to manager
- Report accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to manager
- Provide for a safe work environment following all safety and security procedures
- Maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- Perform any related duties as requested by manager
- Assist other Restaurant Personnel when needed
