Job Requirements
- Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to follow instructions accurately both verbally and in writing
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with urgency and empathy
- Outstanding coordination and multitasking abilities
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to learn and work with hospitality software systems
- Ability to interact well with guests, vendors, and team members
- Conflict resolution skills
- Ability to calculate figures using basic math
- Must have state food handler and alcohol server certifications
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous server or customer service experience preferred
- State-issued food handler's certificate
- State alcohol server certification
- Knowledge of hospitality software systems such as POS, PMS, CRM
- Strong coordination and multitasking abilities
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to diplomatically resolve conflicts
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations preferred
Job Duties
- Anticipate guests' needs and respond promptly
- Maintain positive guest relations and resolve complaints
- Follow hotel policies regarding lost and found items
- Adhere to emergency protocols for guest and team member safety
- Promote sanitation, safety, and security efforts
- Encourage social media and 5-star reviews
- Greet guests warmly and assist with menu selection
- Take accurate food and drink orders
- Deliver orders with correct presentation
- Provide menu recommendations including allergen information
- Prepare and cork wine bottles for tableside service
- Upsell additional items or beverages
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff for timely service
- Process guest payments accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas
- Follow health and safety guidelines including food safety
- Give guests a friendly farewell
- Complete daily setup and closure procedures
- Inspect and prepare materials and equipment for service
- Maintain equipment knowledge and comply with policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
