Job Requirements
- Minimum six months experience as a cook or prep cook
- Must be able and willing to follow established recipes
- Communication skills in English both written and oral preferred
- Qualified Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas members and Native American preference observed
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, stressful environment
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines and multi-task
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to obtain and retain a KTTT Gaming Commission License
- Must be able to provide authorization to work in the United States
- Must have access to reliable transportation
- Must comply with KLEC handbook, internal policy and gaming regulations
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Ensure compliance with tribal, federal and gaming regulations and Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies
- Ensure the highest possible standards of guest services by listening and responding to guest and team member concerns
- Prepare high quality, fresh hot and cold food items using standardized recipes and methods under the direction of the head cook
- Replenish prep line food items to ensure proper presentation and availability
- Adapt to changes in menu preparation and production methods
- Respond to guest preferences and concerns
- Prepare food items consistently with little variation in appearance and taste
- Practice portion control and minimize waste
- Ensure proper food storage and adhere to sanitary regulations
- Label, date and rotate food items appropriately
- Organize and clean refrigerated and dry storage areas
- Maintain a sanitized and organized workstation during shifts
- Care for kitchen equipment and utensils
- Clean workstations after food preparation
- Prepare fruits and vegetables for serving
- Prepare various cold meats and menu items
- Operate kitchen equipment including stoves, cook tops, broilers, deep fryers, hand tools, microwaves, blenders, cutters, processors and knives
- Report any injuries immediately
- Prepare food for special events and catering when assigned
- Taste check and sample food to ensure quality
- Demonstrate and promote KLECH core values and MAD skills
- Manage and maintain security of confidential information
- Attend and complete all required training
- Monitor compliance with financial transaction reporting and anti-money laundering policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
