Job Requirements

  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand primary workplace languages
  • Working knowledge of food and beverage sales and hotel operations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prepare and analyze data and figures generated by computer systems
  • Must possess moderate computer skills
  • Hotel or hospitality degree at bachelor’s level or relevant experience
  • Minimum of four years in banquet, catering, convention, or food and beverage related operation
  • Personal appearance and grooming commensurate with high profile job
  • Physical ability to maneuver between concurrent functions
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to sit, stand, stoop or bend for eight hours

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hotel or hospitality management or related field
  • Minimum four years experience in banquet, catering, convention, or food and beverage operations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in computer systems and data analysis
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of food and beverage sales and hotel operations

Job Duties

  • Sell group dining and special events in restaurants and bars
  • Assist restaurant leadership in maintaining social and corporate accounts
  • Follow through with inquiries and secure business through proposals and contracts
  • Check available space and maximize its utilization
  • Meet with clients to ascertain all event details
  • Oversee functions to ensure smooth execution
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external partners
