Job Requirements

  • Must speak, read, write and understand primary workplace language
  • Hotel or hospitality degree at bachelor's level or unrelated degree with relevant hospitality experience
  • Minimum four years experience in banquet, catering, convention or food and beverage related operation
  • Moderate computer skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, sit, bend and walk for at least eight hours
  • Personal grooming commensurate with high-profile job

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hotel or hospitality management or relevant experience
  • Minimum four years experience in banquet, catering, convention or food and beverage related operations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of food and beverage sales
  • Working knowledge of hotel operations
  • Moderate computer skills
  • Ability to prepare and analyze data

Job Duties

  • Sell group dining and special events in restaurants and bars
  • Assist restaurant leadership in maintaining social and corporate accounts
  • Manage inquiries, block definite business through proposals and contracts
  • Check available space and maximize utilization
  • Meet with clients to ascertain event details
  • Oversee event functions
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external partners
