Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3-5 years food and beverage operation experience required
  • 1-2 years management experience required
  • Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification required
  • Ability to provide and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs
  • Must be able to work standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods
  • Must comply with hotel attendance and conduct policies
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language of the workplace
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Must possess intermediate computer skills
  • Must be detail oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills
  • Knowledgeable about federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Must have the ability to work independently
  • Must be able to operate office equipment
  • Willingness to work varying schedules according to business needs.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of food and beverage operations experience
  • 1-2 years of management experience
  • Culinary, sales, and service background
  • Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification
  • Ability to provide and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Excellent leadership and customer relations skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Basic computational skills
  • Knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, Key system, and POS
  • Strong issue resolution and analytical skills
  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Knowledge of food products, standard recipes, and preparation
  • Ability to conduct meetings and maintain communication between staff and management.

Job Duties

  • Plan and direct the functions of administration and planning of the food and beverage outlet to meet the daily needs of operation
  • Support and supervise the hotel food and beverage outlet while working closely with the hotel manager and other hotel department managers
  • Maintain consistent communication with vendors and suppliers for timely rollout of seasonal food options
  • Direct monthly, quarterly, annual inventories and prepare and submit inventory reports to accounting in a timely manner
  • Lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and staff satisfaction results
  • Ensure staff engagement with guests is consistently high
  • Maintain high energy, positive attitude, and professional appearance
  • Develop, implement and monitor schedules for the operation of outlets to achieve profitable results
  • Collaborate with culinary team to create attractive and merchandising menus
  • Monitor hotel activities and troubleshoot problems
  • Perform general cleaning tasks adhering to health standards
  • Consult with Director of Sales and Marketing and other departments as necessary
  • Manage payroll and time attendance for food and beverage staff
  • Implement control of food, beverage, and labor costs
  • Establish and achieve profit objectives and quality standards
  • Conduct orders of food and beverage supplies
  • Support ongoing hotel improvement programs
  • Regularly review customer acceptance and recommend policy updates
  • Evaluate and improve staff performance
  • Administer training and development programs
  • Ensure compliance with employment and civil rights laws
  • Maintain food quality and consistency
  • Participate in hiring and training new staff
  • Serve as role model adhering to policies and standards
  • Maintain good staff communications and morale
  • Be familiar with company policies and benefits
  • Perform other assigned duties by managers and supervisors.
