Job Requirements

  • Must be able to work on site
  • Willing and physically able to perform manual labor tasks
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to stand for entire shift with reaching, bending, and stooping
  • Reliable transportation to and from Kiawah Island
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Must provide three professional or employment references upon application

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate required
  • College degree in hospitality, travel and tourism, or related field highly preferred
  • Minimum of two years front of house food and beverage experience
  • Extensive knowledge of food and beverage service
  • Wine certifications or culinary certifications considered a plus
  • TIPS and ServSafe certifications highly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills
  • Proficiency in basic computer programs and willingness to learn software and equipment functions

Job Duties

  • Participate in rotations through various food and beverage outlets and departments
  • Learn and master line-level competencies in each department
  • Absorb basic operational standards of food and beverage services
  • Coach and train staff members within assigned departments
  • Engage in scheduled classes and training sessions
  • Maintain mentor-trainee relationship to understand company culture and management expectations
  • Apply knowledge and skills to confidently pursue Assistant Manager roles upon program completion
