Job Requirements
- 1-3 years experience in food and beverage management
- Knowledge of Texas liquor laws
- Ability to train and manage staff
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to multitask in high pressure environments
- Proficiency with computer systems
- TIPS alcohol certification
- Physical ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Availability to work weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- At least 1-3 years food and beverage management experience in high volume banquet and restaurant/bar environment
- Hotel experience preferred
- Prior experience managing schedules, inventory, payroll, service recovery and associate relations matters
- Knowledge of TX liquor laws
- Strong familiarity with beer, wine and spirits, local knowledge preferred
- Proven leadership skills and ability to train, develop, and motivate staff
- Ability to teach employees guest interaction and courteous request handling
- Ability to set team priorities and provide performance feedback
- Ability to communicate clearly in English verbally and in writing
- Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment
- Proficient with computers
- Ability to work well under pressure managing high volume orders and guest requests
- Strong organizational skills with guest follow up
- TIPS alcohol certification
- Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Responsible for the supervision and coordination of assigned shift
- responsible for overall management of food and beverage operations
- Coach, mentor and develop F&B managers and hourly service staff
- Complete environmental checklist for dining room and/or event space
- Supervise related associate assignments
- Stay on the floor during peak hours, supervising the performance of associates
- Monitor each guest experience
- Examine food and beverage preparation and provide corrective training where necessary
- Supervise bar controls including shot glass use, red lining, bottles totally empty, liquor par list
- Supervise cost control efforts to ensure the operations financial success
- Participate in scheduling within budgetary guidelines
- Forecast weekly and monthly
- Complete weekly payroll and associated audit
- Monitor labor and payroll costs
- Oversee daily supplies ordering
- Supervise cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of dining room
- Prepare maintenance requests and follow up
- Hold pre-shift meetings with associates
- Follow up on established training steps and provide necessary retraining
- Participate in interviewing new associates
- Must be familiar with and adhere to all liquor liability laws
- Must know emergency procedures including CPR and work to prevent accidents
- Handle guest comments and complaints
- Report all product/service defects and measure process attributes as applicable
