Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory experience in food and beverage within a hotel environment
- Food handler card required or pursuing certification
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds continuously
- Ability to manage stressful situations
- Adherence to company grooming and appearance standards
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years as a food and beverage supervisor in a hotel setting
- Experience in properties of similar size and nature
- Knowledge of food and beverage products and equipment
- Thorough knowledge of food outlet operations including supervisory aspects and guest interaction
- Knowledge of state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations
- Current food handler card or in the process of certification
- Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations
- Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
- Basic proficiency in English for customer communication
- Ability to follow written product labeling instructions
- Ability to memorize and promote menu items
- Ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee maker
Job Duties
- Ensure each guest receives outstanding guest service by creating a guest-friendly environment
- Manage guest satisfaction scores to meet or exceed goals
- Maintain positive working relationships with all company associates
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment
- Attend BEO, staff, and food and beverage meetings
- Analyze and monitor operational reports, financial statements, and labor costs
- Execute special projects as assigned by general management
- Plan and execute hotel-sponsored events
- Taste food and beverage products to ensure quality and consistency
- Promote marketing ideas and strategies within the food and beverage department
- Monitor POS systems and cashier procedures
- Perform associate job responsibilities when necessary
- Handle manager on duty responsibilities
- Control customer flow and interaction between front and back of house
- Ensure team members maintain brand standards and high customer service levels
- Address customer inquiries professionally
- Manage scheduling and payroll for the outlet
- Organize pre-shift and departmental meetings
- Maintain communication with all departments and participate in marketing efforts
- Monitor product quality and guest satisfaction in the restaurant
- Control outlet profitability and manage payroll and equipment costs
- Support overall food and beverage operations including special projects and promotions
- Provide a clean and safe environment by assigning and assisting with cleaning
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Follow safety and security procedures and rules
- Know fire prevention and emergency procedures
- Utilize protective equipment
- Report unsafe conditions and accidents to management
- Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance consistent with company standards
- Perform related duties as requested by management
- Assist other restaurant personnel as needed
