Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Comfortable standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and late shifts
  • Physically able to work in hot or confined kitchen environments
  • Food handler certification or willingness to obtain
  • Passion for cooking and hospitality
  • Reliable team player with attention to detail
  • Ability to adhere to safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary school or prior kitchen experience preferred
  • Experience in basic cooking techniques, knife handling, and food preparation
  • Strong sense of kitchen cleanliness and safety
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Willingness to learn new skills and take on different station responsibilities
  • Possession or willingness to obtain a valid food handler certification per local health regulations
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Assist with daily prep and maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked station
  • Ensure proper food handling, storage, and labeling to meet safety and sanitation standards
  • Work closely with the culinary and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service during meal periods
  • Follow portion control guidelines and minimize waste through careful preparation and execution
  • Maintain awareness of allergen and dietary requirements, ensuring proper communication and handling
  • Support banquet or special event prep and execution as needed
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, monitoring inventory, and reporting shortages
  • Uphold a team-oriented, respectful kitchen environment that values professionalism and collaboration
