- Culinary degree or equivalent training
- minimum 5-7 years experience in culinary roles
- at least 5 years in leadership

Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree or equivalent training from a recognized culinary school
- minimum of 5-7 years experience in a culinary role with at least 5 years in a leadership position
- strong leadership and team management skills

- strong organizational and communication skills
- creativity and passion for food and hospitality

Job Duties
- Leads kitchen and dish washing team
- provides direction for day-to-day operations
- performs duties in associate's absence or determines appropriate replacement
- provides guidance and direction to subordinates
- utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead and encourage others
- encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
- ensures property policies are administered fairly and consistently
- reviews staffing levels to meet guest service and financial objectives
- establishes and maintains collaborative relationships within the hotel team
- solicits and addresses associates feedback
- demonstrates new cooking techniques and equipment
- interacts with Catering department for menu composition
- develops and implements purchasing and receiving guidelines
- communicates importance of safety procedures
- manages controllable expenses including food cost and supplies
- participates in budgeting process
- knows and implements brand service standards
- provides direction for menu development
- monitors food quality
- determines food presentation and decor
- ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
- prepares and cooks foods for various functions
