Job Requirements

Must be able to work in a smoking environment
Must possess knife skills
Ability to work any day of the week and scheduled shift
Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Class B gaming license
Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Food Handlers Certificate
Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Tips Certification

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
At least 1 year previous experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Strong communication skills including the ability to write routine reports and speak effectively before groups
Basic mathematical skills including ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions
Practical application of health and safety standards
Fluent English speaking, writing, and comprehension skills
Experience in cooking Cantonese, Chinese, Korean, Mandarin, and Vietnamese cuisine is a plus

Job Duties

Follow recipes and direction
Ensure quality product is prepared and served in a timely manner
Adhere to established portion control guidelines and minimize waste
Ensure the proper handling and storage of all products in accordance with standards and sanitation
Maintain the standards of preparation and presentation of all food products
Set up and organize work area with all necessary supplies and equipment
Ensure all equipment is clean and in proper working condition
Protect the assets of Pechanga Resort and Casino
Perform other duties as assigned
