Job Requirements
- Must be able to work in a smoking environment
- Must possess knife skills
- Ability to work any day of the week and scheduled shift
- Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Class B gaming license
- Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Food Handlers Certificate
- Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Tips Certification
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- At least 1 year previous experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Strong communication skills including the ability to write routine reports and speak effectively before groups
- Basic mathematical skills including ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions
- Practical application of health and safety standards
- Fluent English speaking, writing, and comprehension skills
- Experience in cooking Cantonese, Chinese, Korean, Mandarin, and Vietnamese cuisine is a plus
Job Duties
- Follow recipes and direction
- Ensure quality product is prepared and served in a timely manner
- Adhere to established portion control guidelines and minimize waste
- Ensure the proper handling and storage of all products in accordance with standards and sanitation
- Maintain the standards of preparation and presentation of all food products
- Set up and organize work area with all necessary supplies and equipment
- Ensure all equipment is clean and in proper working condition
- Protect the assets of Pechanga Resort and Casino
- Perform other duties as assigned
