Job Requirements

  • Speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
  • basic computer experience
  • ability to work varying shifts including full-time or part-time
  • ability to stand for prolonged periods
  • must comply with E-Verify employment eligibility verification

Job Qualifications

  • Beverage Alcohol Resource Certification preferred but not required
  • ability to be on your feet for long periods of time

  • knowledge of spirits, wines and beers to be able to recommend to the guest

Job Duties

  • Logs in at the beginning of the shift
  • reviews relevant documentation for the day’s activities
  • checks inventories for beverages and non-food items, stocking necessary items or placing orders for items needed
  • fills ice bins
  • ensures that all bar implements and equipment are available for the shift’s needs
  • takes drink orders from customers or serving staff
  • mixes and prepares drinks for customers and/or serving staff
  • verifies customer age by checking their identification
  • re-stocks depleted bar items
  • prepares list of items for reordering
  • retrieves items from dry storage, refrigeration or liquor cabinet
  • replenishes ingredients, equipment or supplies
  • cleans up general work area and surrounding areas
  • prepares drink garnishes for next shift
  • ensures that all ingredients are available and the bar is well stocked
  • communicates with and assigns duties to various staff members regarding procedures, current activities, needs, etc
  • at the end of work shift, balances cash register, puts away alcohol, sweeps, mops, logs out
