Job Requirements

  • Speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
  • Basic computer experience
  • Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time

  • Knowledge of spirits, wines and beers

  • Beverage Alcohol Resource Certification is preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Log in at the beginning of the shift
  • Review relevant documentation for the day’s activities
  • Check inventories for beverages and non-food items, stocking necessary items, or placing orders for items needed
  • Fill ice bins
  • Ensure that all bar implements and equipment are available for the shift’s needs
  • Take drink orders from customers or serving staff
  • Mix and prepare drinks for customers and/or serving staff
  • Verify customer age by checking their identification
  • Re-stock depleted bar items
  • Prepare list of items for reordering
  • Retrieve items from dry storage, refrigeration or liquor cabinet
  • Replenish ingredients, equipment or supplies
  • Clean up general work area and surrounding areas
  • Prepare drink garnishes for next shift
  • Ensure that all ingredients are available and the bar is well stocked
  • Communicate with and assign duties to various staff members regarding procedures, current activities, needs, etc.
  • At the end of work shift, balance cash register, put away alcohol, sweep, mop, log out.
