Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a current TABC seller/server certification
  • Restaurant or server experience preferred
  • Gaming industry experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills in English both written and oral
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle physical demands such as standing, walking, bending for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a KTTT Gaming Commission License including passing background check
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States
  • Must have reliable transportation to commute
  • Must comply with casino handbook, policies and gaming regulations
  • Must participate in tip reporting program

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral
  • Spanish or other language skills a plus
  • Prior restaurant or server experience preferred
  • Prior gaming industry experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong guest service and communication skills
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines and handle multitasking
  • Positive attitude and strong organizational qualities
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide

Job Duties

  • Ensure compliance with tribal, federal and other laws, gaming regulations and casino policies
  • Ensure the highest possible standards of guest services by properly listening and responding to guest and employee concerns and questions
  • Greet guests at assigned stations
  • Answer menu questions posed by guests and offer food item recommendations
  • Maintain knowledge of the dining menu and any special items being offered
  • Observe guests, anticipate needs and complete all steps of service as assigned
  • Serve requested food and beverages to guests and ensure supplies are properly maintained
  • Ensure ordered food items are picked up and served immediately upon availability
  • Ensure that utensils and dinnerware are properly stocked
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned stations
  • Wipe tables and seats with damped sanitized cloth and replace dirty tablecloths
  • Set and maintain tables with clean linens, condiments and silverware
  • Scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning
  • Clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, furniture, and equipment in food service areas
  • Sweep, mop or vacuum floors
  • Make coffee and fill dispensers
  • Provide quick, attentive, friendly and professional service to casino guests
  • Periodically check on guests to ensure their service needs are met
  • Remove dirty dishes, silverware, cups, glasses, napkins and other items from tables
  • Accurately record all sales in the point of sale system as required
  • Collect appropriate guest payment for food and beverage services
  • Ensure the quality and presentation of food items meet or exceed guest expectations
  • Act as a beverage server or cashier when necessary, including cash handling and till balancing
  • Stock beverage stations based on anticipated needs
  • Complete cleaning and sanitation duties as assigned
  • Maintain a professional and tidy appearance
  • Communicate in a positive, respectful manner to guests and coworkers
  • Build and maintain knowledge of food and beverage offerings
  • Demonstrate and promote the casino's core values and skills
  • Manage and maintain security of confidential information
  • Attend and complete all required training
  • Monitor compliance with federal currency transaction and anti-money laundering policies
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed
