Job Requirements
- Long hours sometimes required
- Medium work - exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently
- Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
- Participate in M.O.D. coverage
- Maintain regular attendance as per scheduling needs
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including wearing nametags
- Comply with Highgate Hotel standards for safe and efficient operations
- Effective in handling problems including anticipating and solving them
- Must maintain confidentiality of information
- Must perform other duties as requested by management
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
Job Qualifications
- At least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- or a 4-year college degree
- or a 2-year college degree and 1 or more years of related experience
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- Attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented approach
- Ability to listen to and clarify concerns
- Experience in conducting staff performance reviews
- Knowledge of SOPs and compliance regulations
- Ability to participate in training and development activities
- Experience with payroll and scheduling systems
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Job Duties
- Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and employees
- Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of the outlet
- Supervise outlet personnel
- Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner
- Work with other F&B managers and keep them informed of issues
- Keep immediate supervisor fully informed of problems or matters requiring attention
- Assist in coordinating and monitoring all phases of Loss Prevention in the outlet
- Prepare and submit required reports timely
- Ensure preparation of payroll, revenue, employee schedules, wage progress, and quarterly action plans
- Monitor quality of service in F&B outlet
- Assist in menu planning and preparation
- Ensure compliance with local liquor laws, health and sanitation regulations
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and requisition procedures in all outlets
- Be visible on the floor and assist staff during each meal period
- Conduct staff performance reviews
- Ensure training on SOPs and technical job tasks
- Participate in departmental and hotel training programs
- Interview candidates for front-of-house F&B positions
- Complete tip reporting
- Implement and monitor corporate promotions and buffet standards
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
