Job Requirements

  • a bachelor's degree in sports management, hospitality, event management, communications or a related field
  • experience in sports, entertainment and event management preferred
  • ability to execute multiple tasks at the same time and work well under pressure
  • ability to carry out detailed written, oral and diagram instructions
  • impeccable communication skills both written and verbal
  • highly organized and self-motivated

Job Duties

  • plan, coordinate and execute all entertainment elements for Mud Hens and Walleye games as assigned
  • research and develop entertainment including music, cheers, announcer scripts, video and ribbon boards, contests, pregame, in-game and postgame entertainment, and mascot skits
  • contribute new ideas for in-game features and fan experiences to enhance game presentation
  • serve as floor manager during game days, acting as primary contact to the Game Presentation Coordinator and assist with in-game production needs
  • hire, train and supervise part-time and seasonal entertainment team members
  • coach, mentor and assist in development of entertainment staff
  • oversee booking and scheduling of external mascot performances
  • manage and field fan experience requests on gamedays
  • direct in-arena shows on game nights to maximize fan experience
  • support management and care of equipment, props and supplies
  • research and communicate with industry peers to enhance entertainment experience
  • provide post-game feedback to supervisors and implement approved suggestions
  • perform other related tasks as assigned
