Devereux Arizona's Community Based Services provide rapid, intensive, one-on-one in-home support immediately following a crisis, aimed at assisting youth and families facing behavioral health challenges. Job Requirements

  • must be at least 21 years of age
  • previous experience working with children/adolescents with behavioral/emotional needs
  • minimum high school diploma or equivalency
  • ability to commute throughout Maricopa County utilizing own vehicle
  • valid unrestricted Arizona driver's license
  • pass DMV 36-month history check
  • current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions
  • attend 2 weeks of new hire orientation and 2-3 weeks of on-the-job training
  • pass pre-employment physical and job demand assessment if applicable
  • pass drug test within 24 hours of job offer with negative results

Job Qualifications

  • must be at least 21 years of age
  • experience working with children/adolescents with behavioral or emotional needs
  • minimum high school diploma or equivalency, bachelor's degree preferred
  • high school diploma with four years of full-time behavioral health experience or a combination of education and experience totaling at least two years
  • associate's degree with at least two years of full-time behavioral health experience
  • bachelor's degree with at least one year of full-time behavioral health experience
  • ability to commute throughout Maricopa County with own vehicle
  • valid unrestricted Arizona driver's license and pass DMV history check
  • current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions or eligibility to obtain
  • ability to attend new hire orientation and training

Job Duties

  • work one-to-one with youth aged 2-17 in natural settings such as home, school, group homes, foster care, or kinship placements
  • teach life skills, emotional regulation, behavior reduction, anger management, coping with trauma, and communication techniques
  • provide intensive in-home support following a crisis
  • develop crisis and safety plans
  • support and coach families
  • collaborate with Child/Family Teams
  • conduct intakes, manage cases, and maintain accurate documentation
