Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • basic keyboard skills and be able to use computer, computer software programs (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe) and web based systems
  • within eighteen months of hire, at a minimum, credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling or a related field

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • basic keyboard skills and ability to use computer, computer software programs (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe) and web based systems
  • within eighteen months of hire, obtain a credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling or a related field
  • associate's degree in Early Childhood Development (ECE), social work, human services, family services, counseling or a related field with 2-years experience working in an early childhood education environment preferred
  • experience working with culturally diverse and low-income families preferred
  • bilingual in English/Spanish preferred for Early Head Start programs

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with families in a partnership process that identifies the family needs, interests, strengths, goals, and resources needed to support the family's well-being
  • be the family's liaison to program and community services and connect assigned families to services which promote health, safety, and economic stability
  • conduct family engagement services and activities in the family's preferred language to the extent possible
  • promote school readiness by preparing children and families for school and life success
  • actively supervise children by sight and sound at all times and in all environments
  • maintain all health and safety regulations to create an optimum learning environment
  • facilitate health practices to keep children safe in the school bus, outdoor and indoor environments
