Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience working with children preferred
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and lift frequently during work hours
  • Able to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Knowledge of Completely KIDS mission, values, and employee handbook
  • Must be able to read, write, and use a computer
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriate boundaries
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Volunteer or paid experience working with at-risk, school-age children preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to organize work and plan ahead
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility and adaptability to new methods and procedures
  • Sensitivity and confidentiality when working with children and families

Job Duties

  • Supervise children consistently throughout classroom and program spaces
  • Teach weekly academic and enrichment lessons to groups of 10-20 youth with enthusiasm
  • Develop and implement weekly lesson plans for both academic and enrichment activities
  • Identify youth requiring additional academic support and provide appropriate assistance
  • Teach and counsel youth on appropriate skills and behaviors as behavioral intervention
  • Serve as a role model exhibiting skills taught in the program
  • Set and maintain appropriate boundaries with youth
  • Assist with record keeping and behavioral tracking
  • Report safety concerns following agency policies
  • Follow schedule and ensure all structured activities are safe
  • Maintain confidentiality and enforce sign in/out policy strictly
  • Communicate daily with parents and guardians in verbal and written form regarding children’s care and program updates
  • Relay parent/guardian requests and concerns to Program Coordinator within one day
  • Develop respectful relationships with diverse cultural and socioeconomic community members
  • Perform other duties as assigned and maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
