Job Requirements

  • master's or doctoral degree relevant to counseling with family systems and trauma training
  • licensure or eligibility for licensure in Georgia
  • proven communication and intervention skills
  • knowledge of family systems theory
  • ability to manage crisis and grief counseling
  • experience or willingness to work in medical multidisciplinary teams
  • capability to document and bill on date of service

Job Qualifications

  • master's or doctoral degree in LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or related field with training in family systems theory, crisis management, and trauma/grief counseling
  • ability to demonstrate strong conceptual, interventional, and communication skills
  • knowledge of family systems theory and capability to address family crises effectively
  • ability to educate families and interdisciplinary team members on adjustment and coping following catastrophic injury
  • strong teaching, communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • experience in medical settings and interdisciplinary teams preferred
  • licensed or license eligible in the State of Georgia

Job Duties

  • provide family consultation and psychoeducation
  • deliver therapeutic intervention including individual, group, and family therapy
  • manage crisis situations and provide trauma and grief counseling
  • consult with staff on family systems theory and psychosocial rehabilitation
  • participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings
  • organize and conduct family and staff education sessions
  • assist families with coping and adjustment following neurological injury
