Job Requirements

  • At least 1 to 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to supervise and train housekeeping staff
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work varied schedules as required
  • Familiarity with housekeeping standards and safety regulations
  • Ability to motivate and counsel employees
  • Basic computer skills for record keeping and reporting

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 to 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • College course work in related field helpful
  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service oriented manner
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations
  • Inspect staff work performance daily to ensure standards are met
  • Inspect VIP rooms and report availability to Front Office
  • Oversee closing of floors, ensuring carts are clean and restocked
  • Ensure daily assignment records are completed and turned in on time
  • Maintain key control system
  • Assist with supervision of Laundry and Housekeeping staff
  • Handle Lost and Found items according to standards
  • Be familiar with Aimbridge Hospitality policies and House Rules
  • Ensure associates are attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous
  • Ensure staff appearance, cleanliness, and orderliness
  • Carry active pager/radio for communication
  • Assign daily duties to Room and House Attendants
  • Monitor cleanliness of carts, linen closets, control closets, stairways, and landings
  • Report progress of out-of-order rooms to Guest Services Manager
  • Initiate and follow through on work orders for repairs and maintenance
  • Assist with training Room Attendants
  • Motivate, coach, and counsel staff
  • Collect keys and assignment sheets daily
  • Attend management meetings
  • Ensure completion of biannual maintenance and cleaning projects
  • Monitor VIP guests and special requests
  • Perform other duties as requested by Management
