Job Description

Fairchild Live, the dynamic events division of Fairchild Media Group under the umbrella of Penske Media Corporation (PMC), is in search of an Events Manager to join its vibrant, fast-paced team. Fairchild Media Group is renowned for its powerhouse portfolio of leading brands including Women’s Wear Daily (WWD), Footwear News (FN), and Beauty Inc. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of event management experience
  • hands-on vendor coordination experience
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • proficiency in budget tracking and event logistics
  • willingness to travel globally
  • flexible and adaptable to fast-paced environments
  • ability to work onsite four days a week

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of event management experience
  • demonstrated ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
  • hands-on experience with vendor coordination and client-facing roles
  • strong understanding of event logistics and budget tracking
  • experience working with cross-functional teams
  • exposure to sponsorship execution a plus
  • creative eye and attention to detail with an interest in event design
  • calm positive and adaptable in fast-paced live event environments
  • vendor-facing experience with a desire to grow negotiation and coordination skills

Job Duties

  • Serve as event lead on assigned programs managing planning and execution
  • act as primary contact with vendors venues and production teams
  • coordinate timelines and deliverables across graphics editorial programming and sponsorships
  • oversee on-site operations including load-in event day execution and breakdown
  • research recommend and secure venues platforms that fit budget and event needs
  • support contract negotiation in partnership with senior leadership and legal
  • partner with the creative team on signage and event look-and-feel
  • contribute to look and feel decks and activation presentations
  • support management of event design details
  • track vendor quotes and event expenses
  • support senior leadership with reconciliations and budget reporting
  • assist with event recaps reporting and team debriefs to capture learnings and improve future activations
