Job Requirements
- Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution in Aviation or a related field
- Ability to teach college/university level aviation courses
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to develop curriculum and instructional materials
- Ability to conduct scholarship and creative works
- Ability to engage with students and faculty
- Ability to follow approved curriculum and assessment standards
Job Qualifications
- Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution in Aviation or a related field
- PhD in an aviation related field from a regionally accredited university preferred
- Experience in higher education
- Experience with online teaching preferred
- Knowledge of adult teaching techniques
- Knowledge of FAA policies, regulations, and procedures
- Knowledge of research methodology and data analysis
- Skills in recruiting, interviewing, and student placement
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to develop curriculum and teach design courses
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to use classroom management systems such as Canvas
Job Duties
- Instructs, manages, and supervises individuals and groups in classrooms, online, and laboratories through demonstration, discussion, visual aids, individualized instruction, lectures and other educational methods
- Plans, prepares, and follows an approved course of study including measurable objectives and instructional materials
- Evaluates student performance using appropriate testing and grading procedures
- Engages in scholarly activities including applied research and produces scholarly or creative work consistent with departmental goals
- Serves the department, college, and university by attending meetings, working on committees, and accepting service appointments
