Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year of experience in general maintenance work
  • valid Wisconsin driver’s license
  • must be able to pass FBI background check process
  • ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • able to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, sitting, climbing, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping
  • effective oral communication skills
  • ability to distinguish sounds and see clearly under varied light conditions
  • tolerate temperature changes
  • able to operate maintenance equipment including floor machines, vacuum, blower, snow removal equipment such as skid steer, tractor with loader, and truck with plow

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • one year of experience in general maintenance work
  • knowledge of methods, materials, and equipment used in general housekeeping and maintenance
  • knowledge of minor repair techniques for maintaining equipment
  • ability to operate various types of maintenance equipment
  • ability to determine types of paint and areas to paint safely and efficiently
  • ability to recognize safety issues and problems
  • ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and the public
  • ability to work the required hours of the position
  • valid Wisconsin driver’s license
  • ability to pass FBI background check

Job Duties

  • cleaning and shampooing carpets
  • cleans, strips, and waxes floors
  • cleans and/or changes lamps, bulbs, and light lenses
  • cleans furniture, ceilings, and walls
  • sanitizes restrooms
  • replaces mirrors
  • unplugs sinks and toilets
  • rakes, mows, and maintains landscaping
  • snow removal
  • painting of equipment, inside and outside buildings, and accessories
  • repairs furniture, fixtures, and maintenance equipment including snow blowers, mowers, air conditioners, and furnaces
  • moves office furniture and equipment as directed
  • assumes duties of housekeeping staff in their absence
  • monitors and removes garbage, paper, recycling products, and other refuse
  • maintains documentation as required
  • complies with all safety and quality assurance standards and procedures
  • performs security guard duties
  • sends, receives, unloads, and distributes shipments of materials as directed
  • performs related functions as assigned
