Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in industrial cleaning or sanitation preferred
- ability to operate floor scrubber and fork truck with license
- knowledge of chemical handling and safety protocols
- physical ability to perform cleaning tasks and handle equipment
- ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures and food safety standards
- effective communication skills
- willingness to participate in spill containment and emergency response training
Job Qualifications
- familiarity with SQF Excellent facility standards
- experience with chemical cleaning agents and cleaning equipment
- knowledge of color code policy for cleaning materials
- understanding of GMP and food safety policies
- ability to train and lead in cleaning procedures
- competent in inventory management for cleaning supplies
- certified fork truck operator preferred
Job Duties
- Operate floor scrubber following scrubber zone program
- ensure maintained areas meet SQF Excellent appearance standards
- perform environment cleaning using proper chemicals including foam and soap
- follow color code policy for cleaning materials across facility
- access and utilize chemical room storage safely
- maintain hand wash areas clean and stocked with all necessary materials
- ensure hand wash stations are maintained with approved chemicals and working systems
- keep spill kits stocked and in designated areas
- participate in spill containment of oils, chemicals, water, and sewage after training
- ensure safety kits are stocked in assigned operations areas
- maintain eye wash stations clean and functional
- train team members on proper cleaning and sanitizing of dumpsters
- manage inventory and organization of VMI room materials
- clean and sanitize barrels
- act as a resource for general cleaning in all operation areas
- perform fork truck duties when required and licensed
- perform other duties as directed by Team Leader
