Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum five years of experience in facilities operations and management
- Ability to perform physical activities including lifting 20-50 lbs, prolonged standing, sitting, and walking
- Willingness to participate in on-call duties
- Clear verbal communication skills
- Emotional resilience to work in noisy environments
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five years of experience in facilities operations and management
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or related field preferred
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to work across multiple disciplines in a 24/7 operational environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with data analysis and report generation
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and inspection processes
Job Duties
- Provide operational support and organization to the Facility Management Department including documentation, equipment management, staffing support and training
- Manage project assignments for designated work areas
- Coordinate the training and scheduling of department staff working in a 24/7 operation across multiple disciplines
- Oversee Food Services, VCU Telecommunications, and other contracted services
- Develop detailed reports for hospital administration to manage the Environment of Care
- Maintain data to identify trends that support process improvement, equipment replacement, system upgrades, staffing resources and training needs
- Represent the department for event planning and assist with inspections by The Joint Commission, CMMS, and Fire Marshal
- Share on-call duties with other department members
