Job Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent
- At least one year of related work experience
- Ability to safely operate equipment
- Willingness to work nights weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds
- Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks
- Ability to follow instructions and safety policies

- Ability to safely operate light to moderate equipment and machinery
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to learn proper use of janitorial equipment and supplies
- Ability to make minor repairs
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to perform physical and strenuous work
- Understanding of Brazos County safety policies
Job Duties
- Sets up and tears down meeting and event rooms including stages dance floors tables chairs and equipment
- Assists with sound and electrical system setup and teardown
- Sets up and tears down rodeo equipment horse stalls cattle ties panels and pens
- Cleans Exhibit Hall Arena Pavilion horse stalls livestock pens cattle tie stalls livestock wash areas seating areas aisles roads and parking lots
- Cleans meeting and event rooms including sweeping vacuuming and taking out trash
- Cleans restrooms using commercial chemicals to remove stains and odors and keeps them free of litter
- Strips waxes buffs and scrubs floors as needed
- Keeps all floors dusted mopped and vacuumed
- Distributes supplies as necessary
- Assists in painting minor repairs and other maintenance projects
- Assists visitors politely during events
- Works various hours including nights weekends and holidays
- Communicates with administrative assistant regarding janitorial supply inventory
- Assists in inventory control including equipment
- Assists in scheduling assigning and monitoring work for staff
- Operates light to moderate equipment such as tractors forklifts skid steer loaders
- Performs other duties as assigned
