Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 months of related experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
- Proficient in verbal and email communication
- Ability to read and interpret gauges, instruments and dials
- Skill in using hand and power tools
- Ability to assemble and disassemble objects
- Mechanical and electrical repair skills
- Ability to perform maintenance on automated equipment
- Physical ability to frequently move about warehouse
- Capability to lift and transport parcels up to 50 pounds
- Capacity to work in environments with varying temperatures, noise and dust
- Adherence to safety protocols and procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school or equivalent training

- Ability to speak English
- Understand and carry out oral and written instructions
- Communicate verbally and through email
- Observe and read gauges, instruments, dials to determine operating conditions
- Inspect, examine and determine nature and location of malfunctions in equipment
- Use non-power and power hand tools
- Assemble or disassemble objects
- Basic to intermediate mechanical and electrical skills
- Perform repair and maintenance of automation or other equipment
Job Duties
- Maintain and troubleshoot the facility, terminal equipment and repair basic malfunctions
- Observe and implement resolutions to safety or security concerns or issues in relation to terminal equipment and facility, in cooperation with safety and security personnel
- Examine and maintain facility appearance and signage
- Ensure facility working conditions are clean and safe
- Responsible for minor electrical repairs such as receptacles, GFI replacement, office lighting repairs
- Responsible for restroom repairs, sheetrock repairs, painting
- Install guarding throughout facility
- Conduct minor repairs in overhead door and HVAC troubleshooting
- Conduct basic maintenance and troubleshooting of trash compactors and/or bailers
- Repair dock equipment such as minor repairs in dock levelers, lighting, and safety guards
- Charge and maintain forklift battery including distilled water filling, charging stations and cleanup of acid deposits
- Work with facility and forklift vendors to initiate and complete repairs beyond our ability to repair and to control and audit vendor PM process
- Work very closely with Safety Committee and needs throughout facility to install and maintain all signs, floor markings, guards
- Perform fire extinguishers audit and other safety checklist items
- Maintain upkeep of spill stations and kits throughout facility
- Perform minor carpentry projects, assembling/fabrication of furniture
- Duties may include reassignment to alternate operational areas as business needs require
- Essential duties are not necessarily exhaustive and may be supplemented or otherwise revised by DHL at its sole discretion
