Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 months of related experience preferred
- Basic to intermediate mechanical skills

- Ability to use non-power and power hand tools
- Ability to assemble and disassemble objects
Job Duties
- Maintain and troubleshoot the facility and terminal equipment and repair basic malfunctions
- Observe and implement resolutions to safety or security concerns related to terminal equipment and facility
- Examine and maintain facility appearance and signage
- Ensure facility working conditions are clean and safe
- Perform minor electrical repairs including receptacles, GFI replacement, and office lighting repairs
- Conduct restroom repairs including minor plumbing, sheetrock repairs, and painting
- Install guarding throughout the facility
- Perform minor repairs on overhead doors and troubleshoot HVAC systems
- Maintain and troubleshoot trash compactors and bailers
- Repair dock equipment such as dock levelers, lighting, and safety guards
- Maintain forklift batteries including distilled water filling and cleanup of acid deposits
- Coordinate with facility and forklift vendors for repairs requiring expert knowledge and control vendor preventive maintenance processes
- Collaborate with Safety Committee to install and maintain signs, floor markings, guards, and perform safety audits including fire extinguisher checks
- Maintain spill stations and kits
- Perform minor carpentry projects and furniture assembly and fabrication
- Potential reassignment to alternate operational areas as required by business needs
- Duties may be supplemented or revised by DHL at its discretion
