Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • obtain basic first aid, AED, and CPR certification within three months of hire
  • ability to perform minor building maintenance tasks
  • experience with custodial equipment operation
  • physical ability to perform cleaning and maintenance duties
  • availability to work flexible hours including special events
  • willingness to follow safety protocols and enforce park regulations
  • preferred aquatics facility operator certification
  • preferred experience in plumbing, electrical, or mechanical maintenance

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • basic first aid, AED, and CPR certification obtained within three months of hire
  • experience or skills in building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical preferred
  • aquatics facility operator certification or similar preferred
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • ability to operate cleaning machinery and maintenance tools

  • commitment to safety and customer service excellence

Job Duties

  • Clean all floors including corridors, walkways, and offices through sweeping, mopping, or debris removal
  • operate floor buffers, vacuums, carpet cleaners, and other cleaning equipment
  • organize cleaning areas and supply rooms
  • perform minor semi-skilled building maintenance such as painting, plumbing, and carpentry
  • empty trash, change lights, and replenish soap and paper dispensers
  • treat wood with appropriate cleaning materials including hardwood floors
  • set up and take down rooms for classes, gymnasium uses, and special events
  • perform indoor swimming pool maintenance
  • inspect and maintain custodial equipment and small tools
  • maintain current skills in building maintenance safety
  • keep detailed records of work completed
  • lock and unlock facilities as needed
  • maintain exterior perimeter including snow removal, debris clearance, and flower bed de-weeding
  • respond to public complaints and requests promptly
  • enforce park and recreation rules and regulations
  • collect and report patron feedback
