Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- experience in facility landscaping or grounds maintenance
- ability to perform physical labor including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- ability to use protective gear such as masks, goggles, gloves
- reliable transportation to multiple locations
- ability to follow safety protocols
- legal eligibility to work in the United States
- willingness to comply with company policies including non-use of nicotine products in applicable states
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance
- ability to operate landscaping tools and equipment safely
- basic knowledge of fertilizers, weed control, and pest management
- good physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- strong organizational skills
- ability to work independently and manage multiple sites
- good communication skills
- willingness to participate in ongoing training through U-Haul University
Job Duties
- perform routine landscaping maintenance including mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, and leaf removal
- maintain flower beds, shrubs, trees, and other plantings
- apply fertilizers, weed control, and pest management treatments as needed
- ensure irrigation systems are functioning properly
- perform minor repairs or report issues
- remove trash, debris, and hazards from outdoor areas
- conduct seasonal tasks such as snow removal, salting, and planting
- inspect grounds regularly and report any safety or maintenance concerns
- maintain landscaping equipment and tools in good working condition
- coordinate with store managers to schedule work with minimal disruption to operations
- track and report time, tasks, and materials used at each location
